Players That should have given fair chances

Yeah, we've had quite a few discussions on that player here, and maybe even a dedicated thread or two. Have a search if you're interested.

As for the thread, Mathew Sinclair immediately spring to mind. Someone who the selectors obviously clash with - and who has also fallen victim to the fact that NZ have played so much more one day cricket than test cricket in recent times.

Judging by domestic stats, Gayan Wijekoon should have made the Sri Lankan side as both a batsman and a bowler alone at various stages of his career - so he probably should have been at least given a run as the allrounder given they've picked Maharoof and Dilshan to do those duties in the past.
