Choose THREE seam bowlers for the all-time ODI XI

Two new ball bowlers and a first-change, please

After this, all we have left is the spinner and the allrounder.

    The team so far:

    1 Gilchrist (wk)
    2 Tendulkar
    3 Richards
    4 Ponting
    5 Lara
    6 Bevan
    7
    8
    9
    10
    11

    Go for it!!

WTF, what if you don't want to have three seamers in the side or have an all rounder at first change.

    Dire, noy going to vote...
The man, the mountain, the Mathews. The greatest all rounder since Keith Miller. (Y)

Not having Garner as a bowler in an all time ODI side is like not having Viv Richards as a batsman.

Ah, but what would Garner's E/R be if he played today?

Dunno, what would Hayden's average be if he played then? It works both ways. You can only judge by how well you do against your peers. And if people were more willing to block in ODIs then, it would mean a lower E/R, but Garner has a low E/R, and a low S/R (which translates to an awesome average). Meaning, he took wickets when batsmen were less prone to giving their wickets away....so his achievements are even greater.

I think you need to favour bowlers who have bowled in the modern era as it is definately harder for bowlers in ODIs now than it was in the 1970s and 80s. With this in mind: Wasim Akram, Glenn McGrath and Shaun Pollock.
Ian Botham, Freddie Flintoff, Kevin Pietersen, Brian Laudrup, Gazza and Daniela Hantuchova....a fan of you all FOREVER!!!
Can't wait to see Australia field a crap leg-spinner like Hollland or Hohns again.....
Congratulations to Daniela Hantuchova on her 3rd career title....
Bob Woolmer 1948-2007..farewell to the best coach England never had...
    Arise Sir Beefy....
