I should have kept my mouth shut for the next ball - mind you, it was a length ball - Lara just pulled it over the church beyond the boundary! He is a true legend."

Can we have an award for the highest and lowest strike rates too? Bangar gets my vote for the slowest

Sehwag's impressed me in ODIs, slightly more than Sarwan.

Samuels seems to have come of age (sheesh he's only like 20 isn't he?) in Tests so I'll go for him...

Vaughan for Most Outstanding player because he really has had some year.

Nathan Astle's 222 by far the best Innings.

ODI: I think Gayle should be there...

Tests: hmmm, not quite so sure coz i haven't seen much test cricket in the last year... M.Samuels has played in very few tests...why is he there? A.Flintoff: No comment...

If there was an award for the best non-international innings it's got to be Ali Brown's 268...you don't go and score more runs than most batsmen in 4 days games can manage...in a 50 over OD game. Scoreboard

    Scorecard for Astle's Innings

Astle's Innings, a great innings in a superb, if slightly one sided, match. Superb batting by both teams though, which made it such a good match in my opinion.
