    The CW Awards Team

Prince EWS (milestones & Jimmy Adams)
    pasag (Bradman,Skull & Agarkar/Mohammed )
Richard (Sir Geoffrey, Inzamam, Saj and Sobers)
    Adharcric (Afridi and Hussey)
    oz_fan (Tony Greig and Marsh/Lillee)
    Archie (Warne & Rana/Gatting)
    HeathDavisSpeed (FIAB)

We will double up on milestones next week, I am tired this week, French open, and a great Test, and Wimbledon coming soon

All awards nominations from members to be sent to cwawards@cricketmail.net

    Best of The Best

Shahid Afridi Award for (Best post of the week) Like an innings by the great man, it does not have to be very long, to be great viewing. And the Winner is: Prince EWS for this click here I wonder if the commentators ever run out of things to say?

Shane Warne Award for (Best thread of the week) Like his bowling it must be interesting but just like his private life it can also be controversial. And the Winner is atisha_ro for this click here , interesting idea this one

The Skull Award (Funniest poster for the week) Just like the king of the one liner Kerry O’Keefe, can also be serious. And the Winner is: BoyBrumby click here I had this explained to me!. We also have special mention for this: atisha_ro click here Ouch

The Sobers Award (Most varied poster of the week) The true all-rounder of CW you must be able to contribute to a number of threads. And the Winner is: Pup Clarke has really been around this week, good work.

Tony Greig Award (Worst prediction of the week) Will he ever live down that ‘We will make them grovel’ prediction re- the West Indies? And the Winner is: sohummisra for this click here The batsmen sohummisra thought would lead Africa to victory led them to 77-6. We also have special mention for this: pasag click here if only he'd been a few minutes earlier.

Inzamam Award (Vaguest poster of the week) We are not sure what he is talking about, but we hope he knows. And the Winner is: Cameron-Moss for this click here interesting...

The Sir Geoffrey Award (Most knowledgeable poster of the week) We were going to call this the Richie Benaud award, but after speaking to Boycs, he assured us he new twice as much as Richie. And the Winner is: GeraintIsMyHero hopefully we'll see him around a bit more now he's got his home 'net fixed-up

The Bradman Award (Overall CW poster of the week) Simply the best no matter what the debate or criteria. And the Winner is: Perm sensational week and well deserved.

Agarkar/Mohammed award for ('At least they’re trying' award)
just like the players this award is named after, they may not be quite good enough for any other award, but at least we remember them. And the Winner is: sideshowtim Do those rose tinted glasses need a prescription?

The Mike Hussey award for best newcomer (less then 500 posts), not too many have had a great debut and continued success like “Mr Cricket” And the Winner is:
sohummishra looking very good early on, says a lot when two members of the team recommend you for the Hussey

The Gatting V Rana award for the best debate of the week, and the winners are: neville cardus v silentstriker & Dasa for this click here Perennial argument, but still no one has won on points

Saj Award for best rant of the week ((following Saj's outburst after the 3rd Test, and no Saj, we don't know what you were doing out there either, it's a sad indictment on the quality of our reserves:: And the Winner is: no winner this week

Marsh/Lillee Award (Best prediction of the week) they took 500/1 against England winning after following-on, and won, um lost. And the Winner is: no winner this week

The Jimmy Adams Award (Best stating-the-obvious post of the week) After Jimmy's commentary performance with Sky on the England-West Indies series in 2007, where he repeatedly offered a perfect description of exactly what we'd just seen on the screen. And the Winner is: no winner this week

The FIAB Award (Most random and completely out-of-place post of the week) Just like Paul "Frog In A Blender" Adams, very bizarre and invoking the sentiments "haha, what on Earth?" And the Winner is: no award this week

Please remember, these awards are not officially endorsed by CW management

Now that's going too far! Aseem is now out of the running for ALL Awards for the next 8 weeks! How DARE you attempt to hold the Award-givers to ransom!

(This post probably does need a YES, THIS POST WAS IN JEST!!!!!!!!!!!! Just in case...)

    He'll know. Anyway...

Great Ajit\Dave this week - and one of my fave Brumby posts for yonks, incredibly well-deserved Skull.

Interesting that there was someone else suggesting the Hussey... I wonder who that was?

And a big well-done to Perm, was gonna give him the Sobers (again) but was near enough certain he'd win the even-better Award. Well done, chap.

(That's not to say Liam Mark 2 [Pup Clarke] isn't a well-deserving winner, of course )

Sean, Sean, you know how it is - Manan expressing his displeasure at failing to win the Afridi is the most essential part of the Awards thread.

EDIT: or should I say "awads". Again!

Mind, this is no laughing matter. The more "awads" we get, the more difficult it becomes to search back through old threads!

Nah, I don't rate it as I have to share the award.

Nah, Sobers, Bradman, etc would do. ATM, I'm at the point of boycotting this thing for discrimination.

Oh dear, thought I'd get by without the "YES, THIS - etc"...
