I have been fortunate to play two long not out innings (very unusual for me in recent years), one on Thursday folowed by another on Sunday. Midway through the Sunday innings I strained my left leg inner thigh muscle, to the extent I could hardly run. I put the injury down to playing many forcing shots off the front foot which requires a twisting and lunging motion of the left leg as you play forward.

Has anyone any advice on warm-up exercises to treat the current injury and prevent reoccurence.
