Bob Woolmer 'was not murdered'

Well the guy has no choice but to stick by his first opinion. If he were to change it now after all the fuss it caused he'd kiss his job goodbye.

Still its pretty obvious it was natural causes given the information that ive read about how the body was found / the lack of evidence for a suspect and the 3 expert opinions which state it wasnt murder.
Totally concur. What's he going to say? "I messed up and caused an international sensation by proclaiming that Woolmer was murdered"? Never mind the fact that three independent experts have refuted his findings and Scotland Yard also said Woolmer wasn't murdered. Of course he's not incompetent, all of them are. 8-)

There's an inquest into it and he may have a point about Woolmer being murdered. He was poisoned after all. Will post a link soon.

It would just as likely be suicide as murder in that case though, no?

I always thought it was weird that he could definitively call his death a result of murder, especially if the method was something like poisoning.

Why would it be suicide ? Unless you are saying that Woolmer was so distort after pakistan's loss to Ireland that he wanted to commit suicide. Don't get the logic behind that.

Agree the guy's not going to change his opinion now, he's just sticking to his guns.

No way would Bob have committed suicide. If he was that way inclined, wouldn't you think he would have killed himself after the 1999 Semi-Final?

It's the final week of the inquest this week. It's a bit unfair to expect the jury to come to any conclusions when "experts" who actually examined the body couldn't agree if he'd been strangled or not.

This whole affair from beginning to end stinks to heavens.

Even the Delhi Police could not have done a better job at obfuscating the issues and messing up investigations to ensure the final picture is as clear as mud.

Job well done, congratulate all concerned and close the file.

Utterly disgraceful. :@

The jury gave the only possible verdict based on the muddled conflicting evidence but unfortunately the file will never be closed for the Woolmer family unless a murderer comes forward and confesses.

Needs to be reopened straight way and some people with brains to be involved in sorting it out tbh.

And change the jury...what a bunch of ****in morons to come up with that verdict

The jury came to the only verdict they could. If people who had examined the body couldn't agree on the cause of death you can't expect anyone else to say if he was murdered or not. The body has since been cremated so there's no chance of any further examination. Unless dramatic new evidence comes to light the verdict will stay "open" as there's no other choice.

Its just a shame that the whole case had to come to such an end basically the Jamaican police messed things so badly from the very begining that now its probably impossible for anyone to the truth behind Bob's death, i am still conviced that he was murdered but its just ****ing **** that his murderer(s) might never be punished. :furious:
