A cricketing puzzle

Whatever it takes!!!
Two batsmen on 94. Two balls to go. 7 to win. Both need to score hundreds. How can this happen?

It was a serious question in an aptitude test conducted by a leading INdian IT company.

My guess is that batsman X hits the ball near the boundary and runs 3 and then gets 4 overthrows. Then the umpire signals one short. So X has his hundred and I don't think u need to change ends if signalled one short. Then Y is facing with 1 needed off one ball and he hits a six and gets to his hundred.

Is that right? Also, are there other answers for this question?

Might be making myself look silly here but, Batsman A hits it, they run 6, go for a 7th and A gets run-out, but they cross and B hits a 6 to win.

Good answer.

That is a possibility too, but what do u reckon abt my answer? Is there anything wrong with it w.r.t laws of cricket etc.? I mean, it is practically possible, right?

thanks guys. But I think the run out answer of pasag is the more obvious answer to the question. A run out sounds much more probable than a one short.

dont know the fielding team is doing if someone has run 6 already but thats the only solution i could think of.
