No milestones this week, have not heard from Manju, will double-up next week. :)

The CW Awards Team

alternative (milestones)
pasag (Bradman, Skull & Agarkar/Mohammed )
Richard (Sir Geoffrey, Inzamam, Saj and Sobers)
adharcric (Afridi and Hussey)
oz_fan (Tony Greig and Marsh/Lillee)
Archie (Warne & Rana/Gatting)

All awards nominations to be sent to cwawards@cricketmail.net

Thanks to pasag for filling-in for adharcric, Sean (Archie) is having a difficult house-move so I'm filling-in in posting the thread.

Best Of The Best

The Shahid Afridi Award (Best post of the week)
Like an innings by the great man, it does not have to be very long, to be great viewing.
And the Winner is: Sean Fuller (FaaipDeOiad) for this, even if some people didn't get it. A mention, too, to SJS for this.

The Shane Warne Award (Best thread of the week)
Like his bowling it must be interesting but just like his private life it can also be controversial.
And the Winner is: The Boss (James) :-O for this, a very pertinent question which instigated some of the best posts of the week, several of which were contenders for the Afridi.

The Skull Award (Funniest poster for the week)
Just like the king of the one liner Kerry O’Keefe, can also be serious.
And the Winner is: Zac (pasag) himself (I'd like to point-out that I insisted upon this) for this gem. Zac would like to give a mention, too, to Fiery for this.

The Sobers Award (Most varied poster of the week)
The true all-rounder of CW you must be able to contribute to a number of threads.
And the Winner is: Tharmi (chaminda_00), with pup11 a very close runner-up. Most threads this week have been pretty predictable in who's gonna post, but those two have stood-out.

The Tony Greig Award (Worst prediction of the week)
Will he ever live down that ‘We will make them grovel’ prediction re- the West Indies?
And the Winner is: Raghav for this. Blake would also like to mention Perm for this.

The Inzamam Award (Vaguest poster of the week)
We are not sure what he is talking about, but we hope he knows.
And the Winner is: no award this week.

The Sir Geoffrey Award (Most knowledgeable poster of the week)
We were going to call this the Richie Benaud award, but after speaking to Boycs, he assured us he new twice as much as Richie.
And the Winner is: PhoenixFire, great stuff this week.

The Bradman Award (Overall CW poster of the week)
Simply the best no matter what the debate or criteria.
And the Winner is: Tharmi again, really had a great week, especially with not a lot of cricket going on.

The Agarkar/Mohammed Award ('At least they’re trying' award)
Just like the players this award is named after, they may not be quite good enough for any other award, but at least we remember them.
And the Winner is: brockley, passionate about the Australian domestic scene.

The Mike Hussey Award (Best newcomer [less then 500 posts])
Not too many have had a great debut and continued success like “Mr Cricket”.
And the Winner is: neville cardus, looks like he'll be an awesome member.

The Gatting V Rana Award (Best debate of the week)
And the winners are: no award this week.

The Saj Award (Best rant of the week)
Following Saj's outburst after the Third Ashes Test 2006\07, and no Saj, we didn't know what you were doing out there either, it was a sad indictment on the quality of our reserves.
And the Winner is: Fusion for this, it's not as good a rant as some, but it's certainly worthy. :)

The Marsh/Lillee Award (Best prediction of the week)
They took 500/1 against England winning after following-on, and won, um lost.
And the Winner is: no award this week.

Please remember, these awards are not officially endorsed by CW management :)

Should probably change all the names to user names Richard, especially with something semi-official like this.

Oh, and congrats to all winners.

Haha, OK, will add clarifications in brackets. Though surely everyone knows who "Sean Fuller" is...

Seconded. I don't mind the use of real names when we're referring to each other and our posts generally, but I don't really want to see them up on the official awards page.

Anyway, congrats to all the winners, as always, especially chaminda_00 who really deserved the Bradman. Well done.

I've gone two weeks in a row without winning an award after a fairly long run of getting them fairly consistently - no cricket on disagrees wih me I guess. :p

Thanks for the awards guys, didn't expect to get any awards considering this week has been the first time i've been back posting regularly on CC for about a year, maybe longer.

Congrats to all winners, top stuff from chaminda_00.

It was really nice of Richard to even mention my name along with chaminda_00, but TBH chaminda_00 was easily the deserving winner of the award.

chaminda_00 well done mate!!

Anyways as most of you guys don't know my name, guys my name is Sameer.
