Indian squads announced for Bangladesh tour

ODI squad: Gautam Gambhir, Robin Uthappa, Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid (capt), Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), Dinesh Karthik, Manoj Tiwary, Dinesh Mongia, Piyush Chawla, Sreesanth, Munaf Patel, Zaheer Khan, RP Singh.

Test squad: Wasim Jaffer, Dinesh Karthik, Rahul Dravid (capt), VVS Laxman, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Mahendra Singh Dhoni (wk), Anil Kumble, Sreesanth, Zaheer Khan, VRV Singh, Ramesh Powar, Rajesh Pawar, Munaf Patel.

A number of dumb selections IMO......
    1) Sehwag in ODI's ???????
    2) Dinesh Mongia ??? Would have had Kaif in there.

    1) Only 1 specialist opener - have India not learned any lessons from the makeshift openers we tried throughout the 90's ?
    2) Yuvraj doesn't deserve at test spot IMo ahead of Badrinath, Tiwari or even Kaif.
The selectors should have done a lot better IMO...

Sehwag must have some dirt on the selectors and must be blackmailing someone. There is no other plausible explanation for his continued selection, especially in ODIs where he has never been great.

I would have picked Kaif and possibly Yusuf Pathan in place of Sehwag / Mongia in the ODi's.

Surprised Gambhir or Uthappa didn't make the test squad.
I presume Karthik and Jaffer will open ---- begs the question whether they are looking at that as a long trem partnership at the top ....which seems silly to me ......
