Your Prime Ministers XI

hourn

U19 Cricketer
If you were the Prime Minister of your country and you had to select your PM's XI, what would it be.

For me it would be:
1. Brendan Nash (Qld)
2. Jason Arnberger (Vic)
3. Michael Clarke (NSW)
4. Simon Katich - captain (NSW)
5. Michael Dighton (Tas)
6. Chris Rogers (WA)
7. Sean Clingeleffer (Tas)
8. Nathan Hauritz (Qld)
9. Matthew Inness (Vic)
10. Michael Clark (WA)
11. Paul Rofe (SA)

12. Ryan Harris (SA)

btw, how do they select this team. I just basically picked a combination between players i'd like to see get more recognition for what they do and the up and coming players. I also picked 2 from each state, although i dont think this is a rule as such, i just wanted to see it that way so there was a fair spread of players.

"President" Blair doesn't like Cricket, only football as it's a "vote winner"

Honest, he's been a Toon fan all his life...

Around half those players have played in the Prime Ministers X1 before.
Also you have to have 2 ACT players in your side. This year David Dawson who is a wicketkepper batsman is playing, he score a solid 120 in an ACB cup game here last week. (ACB cup for those who dont know is the 2nd X1 competition in AUS). The onther canberran is Ben Dennett, he is 12th man though.

Whats ACT for those who do not live in Australia?

Australian Capital Territory.
Our capital city which happens to be Canberra, is in the ACT.

Well, let's face it, it'd be a stupid name for a state if it didn't house the capital!

Who came up with such a goddamn awful name though?

NZTailender

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
i was actually at lasts yrs Pm's XI (vs NZ, where i got my photo taken with Lou Vincent! lol) and this was the side (i think)

Sulzberger
Vettori (was 12th man i think)
Bell
Martin

Parore
Sinclair
Tuffey
Wiseman
Vincent
and Drum played too (bowled best)
this is what was in the back of the official book i got on the day.
Aus:

from what i remember from last years PM's X1, NZ didnt play Flemming, Bond, Parore and Cairns didnt bowl.
