    #5 for the Pre 1914 Test XI

    This is a poll to decide the # 5 batsman for the pre 1914 test XI. One batsmen will be chosen and then 3 runners up will be put into the poll for the #6 spot to compete against the allrounders. The batsmen to choose from are:

    Well, Rhodes said that Jackson was at his best with his back to the wall - just the quality we need at no.5 in a batting line-up.

    Moreover, he was an Ashes winning captain and led a happy team after the excesses of A C McLaren. Therefore, F S Jackson for me.

    Jackson (I class the "Big Ship" as an all rounder so will vote accordingly)
