Vettori has been serving the New Zealnd over the last decade, although he was steady but was never a real match winner.

Razzak seems like more of a oneday type bowler and has the variations to keep the runs in check and take regular wickets too. Is a totally unknown quantity in test cricket.

Panesar seems to be over rated a bit to me. He is yet to develop his variation and can be an extremely good find for England if he develops.

Rafique is the old guy who still keeps on serving Bangladesh cricket. He was a seamer but turned into a spinner in the early stages of his career. He has a good arm ball and has always been a steady performer.

Hogg is the most impressive one of the lot but like Rafique an oldie. He is quite different than the rest as he is a chinaman bowler.

Ohh in Dave Mohammed we have another chinaman but West Indies selectors are not always in the mood to play a specialist spinner so his chance of getting international expesure is less.

Murali Karthik is the only one that comes in mind from India. It's sad to see India which produced SLAs like Bished Bedi dont have any good quality ones now.

Abdur Rehman also has played some matches for Pakistan and is an okay sort of bowler.

Enamul is the most promising one and has all the qualities to become Bangladesh's first real match winner. I have very high hopes of him.

May be Giles can be included too in this list along with Paul Adams.

Vettori, Rafique and theres everybody else and please don't bring up stats. Everybody on that list is good but I think Vettori and Rafique are a cut above th rest.

How Can Dave Mohammed be a better bowler than Rafique? I've been hearing for years that if the West Indies had a spinner like Mohammed Rafique they would be a great team or line along that pattern? I haven't Mohmammed play so i really can't comment on him, but the maybe the WI selectors are idiots.

Can't really vote for Hogg because he doesn't play tests, and Mohammed seems a bit of an anomoly. Like, they say he should play, but he never does. So is he really that good? Is it a case of just being left out for the wrong reasons?

Would have to be Vettori, otherwise.

Dude, it's Dave Mohammed. Don't argue.

What do people think of Razzak? He seems to me a pretty good OD bowler.
Yep, can't fault his one day bowling at all really - up there with the best. I saw him bowl in a test against Australia on a helpful pitch and he looked completely rubbish so he obviously has a long way to get in test cricket, but his one day game is gun already.

Razzak has a very dodgy action to me and i don't think he's as good as Vettori anyway.

I'd probably go with Hogg in ODIs and Vettori or Panesar in tests.

It's not just to you. I believe it's been reported/corrected once, but it still looks horrible.

I was actually going to start a Razzak thread, saying (a) he seems a good bowler to me, and (b) he has a horribly jerky action.

re: Vettori, I can't fault his recent performances, but I feel he has everyone fooled, rather like imo Shane Warne did (to a lesser extent) towards the end of his career.

Vettori keeps the runs down with accuracy and flight, and a vital third ingredient, the suspicion of spin. He then takes wickets via suspicion + absence of spin. He just doesn't turn the ball. At all. Ever. No matter how hard he tries. imo he actually can't do it anymore.

Smacks of a tallest midget competition.

The recent harvest of left arm spinners has been very ordinary, a point proven by the inclusion of Giles and Adams.

I honestly dont know who to vote for as its hard to endorse any in particular and a decent argument can be made for a few.

Venkatapathy Raju is virtually the the same age as Paul Nixon and has played as much recent Test and ODI cricket as Paul Adams. I vote for the retired Raju :)
