They wish it was that easy!

Look up the name "Kenteris" (2000 Olympic 200m champion) and you'll see it's not the case
But they are !
I want to see a specialist report right now that they are fully fit to play . I know that spicy stories are like a hot cake in the media and quite a lawerish language is used to dodge the tender minds . That's a lie that they are fit . They wanted to play but unfortunately they could not play . Oh com'on I mean who doesn't wanna play world cup !

That's why the ICC have asked for medical reports!

Unfortunately for them, it doesnt end there.

With or without a medical report, they might still have to take another drugs test and if they fail ......

btw why ICC is treating it like a special case . Let me see if Mbangwa found unfit to play WC ,then what papers ICC will demand .
This is a discretion of PCB that they should disclose the privacy or not . I want to read out the charter of ICC saying some thing about such a condition .
Oh com'on don't drag the issue on moral grounds . It's a matter of discretion and I don't feel it's important to disclose some thing which is my privacy !!!

But show me that ! That's what my question was .
Simply speaking PCB conducted their own tests and just due to un-fortunate dietry habbits and lack of laws regarding a couple of powdery elements (a doubt ful speculation) ,the Nandrolone levels jumped a little naughtily . Players were humiliated by their own media and the PCB itself . And now the charter of PCB is underway so lets hope in future players are going to be dealt with by-law .
But first I want a poof over here and I want to see the personal fact sheets first .

Theyre treating them this way because most of the world recognises that they got away with a drug offence largely scott-free and the mode of their withdrawal from the wc is suspicious at least.

So what I would like to say is that "It's bad and unfortunate " , legally this matter could not proceed cuz of lack of laws and regulations . Bad stuff if some people think as if they deliberately took some substances .
I don't back this whole thing but first I want all the people to be treated by law .

Wow. one of the rare occasions when Social and i agree.
If anyone believes that these two are truly injured, i am afraid then, that they are living in lala land. This is identical to the Kenteris story ( hey social, wasnt there a female greek athlete involved in it too ?) and thats that.

Yup, I think she was either the world or Olympic 100m champ and they feigned a motorbike accident to avoid a drug test on the eve of the Olympics and were ultimately suspended for 2 years without ever having failed a drugs test.

This was the 3rd such occasion they had run from authorities.

Anyway, as I've said earlier, I would've had no problem if the boys had been suspended for a year (using Warne as a precedent).

However, now theyre in all sorts of **** whereas a sensible approach, after the finding of the tribunal, would've been not to pick them in any case until, say, 1 January 2007 (thereby following cycling's lead of simply not allowing suspects to compete).

In this way, they could've avoided a black eye for cricket and a possible life ban for themselves.

Blame the PCB for putting their heads in the sand and exposing these guys to the wrath of the anti-doping zealots

How do you know that they're treating it like a special case?

There's nothing to say that every other player who's pulled out injured hasn't had to have proof of injury - I mean the technical committee (or whatever they're called) tend to take a day or 2 to approve injury replacements...

Drug test for what?? Drug test is only for players who are competing, those who aren't, aren't required to have it done.

The difference, sir, is that Warne actually admitted to it, and then SERVED HIS BAN. Somehow this seems impossibly difficult for the Pak fans to understand and/or admit when they compare Warne's case with Asif's/Akhtar's. .

The only difference is that he served his one year ban, someting which Akhtar and Asif should have served. As far as Warne's admission is concerned, that was all bogus and it made him a laughing stock in the world.

No-one can force them to do such a thing unless I'm much mistaken - cricket is not yet so absurd as athletics.

Any more ridiculous than the defence mounted by Asif and Shoaib?

Warne committed the crime and did the time - the other guys are still running
