thats a bit harsh isnt it? He is just going through a lean patch at the moment....give the poor guy a brk! 8-)
That poor patch has lasted rather a long time... it's been 9 years since he first came to England as a 17-year-old schoolboy.

2. Jayawardene is not that great a wicketkeeper.
Jayawardene is pretty good keeper, he just can't keep to Murali. Which was the orignal reason why Sangakkara got dropped as a keeper, he missed too many chances against Murali. Then Jayawardene struggled to keep to him, but they kept the experiment going as Sangakkara bats better when not keeping. If Kaushal Silva improves his keeping them he will get infront Jayawardene, as the selectors seem to fixed on the idea we need someone else to keep so Sangakkara can play as specialist batsmen.

As a batsmen Silva already good enough to make the A side as a batsmen alone, so his only slightly below Chamara Silva, Dilshan and Kapugedera. Another good A series against Bangladesh and England he will probably jump ahead of Samarawerra in the picking order, as a batsmen.

I feel that you can't be considered an aggressive batsman unless you actually show that with performances, because if you are unable to show that on the international stage then as far as I'm concerned you are only a batsman with an aggressive mindset which is completely different from an aggressive batsman.
Completely disagree. Being a good batsman, and being an aggressive batsman, isn't mutually exclusive.

No chance Mongia made him look easier than what he really is?
There is that, but for me Mongia was a very good keeper, but there have been a lot better keeper then him. So its not as if he made every aspect of keeping look easy like a few others.

Probably standing up to seamer, i don't think there is any spinner who are harder to keep to really.

Guys like Kumble, Afridi and other spinners who bowl at fast would be next then. I probably throw someone in like Brad Hogg due to the fact no one can read his wrong on.

Seriously, though - how many of the 'keepers picked since him have been piss-poor, though?

I don't know much about the 'keeping of Mannuka Prasad, Karim, Dighe and Dahiya, but Dasgupta, Ratra, Patel and, of times, Dhoni are(\were) simply dreadful wicketkeepers full-stop.

Karthik looks rather better, mind.
