Australian Cricket .... Beginning of the End ?
Has the "all powerful" Aussie Cricket team peaked too soon ? Are the recent losses just a temporary blip on there merry way to the inevitable 3rd consecutive World cup glory ? Or is this the beginning of their decline ?

Who knows? Talk to me when they lose a test series. My money is on Australia TBH.

And that rifle is an antique, not 'old'. Please don't demean it. The 1903 Springfield has won many wars.

Aussies some how always manage to get back into nick and just beat everyone!
But, maybe the decline of the aussies may allow other teams to get into the frame! I actually this that this year's WC will be one of the most competitive one in a long time...hope india win....(daydreams usually dont cum true though )

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() 2 threads within a couple of hours!I'll repeat what I said there: the loss of McGrath and Gilchrist will almost inevitably have some effect but, if Gilchrist sees some sense and retires after the Cup they'll still have... Hussey, Ponting, Symonds, Clarke, Haddin (probably) and Bracken. Then you've got the possibles like Hilfenhaus, Johnson and Tait. Not to even mention Mark Cosgrove, who if he can get a grip on his diet and training seems for all intents and purposes a serious prospect. Less convinced about the likes of Watson and White, mind. And even Hodge - a la Lehmann can't see him lasting to 2011.
