    Michael Vaughan ODI side ?

why is Michael Vaughan even a part of the English ODI side? his average is 28 and most his half centuries have been slow and boring ones and he doesn't even ball so yeah why ?

Because there was for ages the perception that "he'll come good", as of course "your best Test players are your best ODI players" ().

Then since the 5th of September 2004, his average in his 19 innings (33.73) has been much better than that in his first 41 innings (21.00), which has meant he's stayed in the side.

And I honestly and truthfully believe that this would be the case regardless of the captaincy, as we're now seeing the exact same thing with Andrew Strauss.
