Plenty of Aussies, Indians and cricket fans in general in NY that would love to see a cricket match. Doubt it would be enough to be feasible though and I can't imagine it having any impact on Amercians or even New Yorkers for that matter.

They'd have to play at a club ground, even at Yankee stadium you'd only get a 90 metre diameter playing area.

In NY yea. But there is no way it would take place in NY, when there is a proper cricket ground in FL

There is a cricket league in America, so surely there are some cricket grounds that they can play on. I don't think they're too worried about attendence to the game, they probably wouldn't get more than 5000, 10000 at the most. It's mainly about the tv money. So, as long as they find a suitable playing surface, I can't see too many problems with organising it.

Pro Cricket was played in Baseball stadiums..And I think they don't even play it anymore

waste of time trying to play cricket in the US in the hope of promoting it IMO, its never going to catch on to the true American sports fan.

It's about making money of the Indians in US, not really for the natives. The Indians in the US will pay a lot of money for tickets, and the television rights will go for a lot.

Tbh, they should rather just have it in Toronto again because it will generate much more interest.

But then again we all know what happened last time they held the Indo-Pak series here in Toronto.... I actually attended that match where Inzi was called aloo.

Yeah, but few with decent grass wickets, access etc and are generally of an incredibely low standard.

Using US cricket grounds would a logistical nightmare. There are options in NY, Florida and potentially at the specialist cricket facility in Van Nuys, Los Angeles but, as already mentioned, US Pro cricket used baseball stadiums as there are no realistic cricket options for any crowds over 1 man and his dog.

Wrong. If a stadium could hold 100,000 it would be filled. I already got like three calls from uncles and stuff asking me if I was going (I'm the cricket nut in the family). If it gets played on the east coast, it will be sold out regardless of stadium size. Definitely.

To add to that...so many people flew over to watch the series in the Carribean and that was in another country. Having it in NY would mean it would be insanely popular.

it wont happen between any great teams (Eg australia)

India will simply want 2 much money.. and whatever team they play will get a pittance

100,000....you do realize not people from all over America would come. A cricket match in NY would at most get 20-30 grand people
