In NY yea. But there is no way it would take place in NY, when there is a proper cricket ground in FLThey'd have to play at a club ground, even at Yankee stadium you'd only get a 90 metre diameter playing area.
where in Florida out of curiosity? In NY yea. But there is no way it would take place in NY, when there is a proper cricket ground in FL
Fort Lauderdale IIRC.where in Florida out of curiosity?
Pro Cricket was played in Baseball stadiums..And I think they don't even play it anymoreThere is a cricket league in America, so surely there are some cricket grounds that they can play on. I don't think they're too worried about attendence to the game, they probably wouldn't get more than 5000, 10000 at the most. It's mainly about the tv money. So, as long as they find a suitable playing surface, I can't see too many problems with organising it.
It's about making money of the Indians in US, not really for the natives. The Indians in the US will pay a lot of money for tickets, and the television rights will go for a lot.waste of time trying to play cricket in the US in the hope of promoting it IMO, its never going to catch on to the true American sports fan.
Yeah they played a match here in the Skydome (aka Rogers Center).Pro Cricket was played in Baseball stadiums..And I think they don't even play it anymore
Yeah, but few with decent grass wickets, access etc and are generally of an incredibely low standard. There is a cricket league in America, so surely there are some cricket grounds that they can play on. Wrong. If a stadium could hold 100,000 it would be filled. I already got like three calls from uncles and stuff asking me if I was going (I'm the cricket nut in the family). If it gets played on the east coast, it will be sold out regardless of stadium size. Definitely.I don't think they're too worried about attendence to the game, they probably wouldn't get more than 5000, 10000 at the most. It's mainly about the tv money.
100,000....you do realize not people from all over America would come. A cricket match in NY would at most get 20-30 grand peopleWrong. If a stadium could hold 100,000 it would be filled.
