Geraint Jones moves on

Prince,

It surely must be arguing for the sake of arguing. That was simply embarrassing - and only for one of the two sides.

This thread was more fun when embarrassed English supporters were trying to explain why Jones ever played for England. I guess I'll have to start on on Pietersen.

I laughed harder than I have a in a years reading the last two pages of this thread.

Test cricket and ODI cricket are clearly the same sport. Different formats of it. I can't believe I'm hearing otherwise. What a ridiculous argument.
They patently are not the same sport. Many of the rules are different.

Most of the rule differences relate to the length of the match - ie. fielding restrictions and over allowances.

Most of the differences between 15-a-side rugby union and rugby sevens relate to the length of the match, although there's the marked difference of half as many players on the field as well. Both 15-a-side and sevens are administered by the IRB (International Rugby Board). They're the same sport.

Twenty20, ODIs and tests are all forms of cricket. They are not different sports. If you can't see that, then, well...

They are all cricket. They are not different forms of the same sport. Domestic-First-Class and Test cricket are different forms of the same sport.

To suggest that First-Class and limited-overs cricket are the same sport is stupid.
