Best of The Best

Shahid Afridi Award for (Best post of the week) Like an innings by the great man, it does not have to be very long, to be great viewing. And the Winner is: BoyBrumby for this click here Two awards this week, this one was top quality, well written

Shane Warne Award for (Best thread of the week) Like his bowling it must be interesting but just like his private life it can also be controversial. And the Winner is pasag for this click here , this thread had everything from intelligent debate to pure drama

The Skull Award (Funniest poster for the week) Just like the king of the one liner Kerry O’Keefe, can also be serious. And the Winner is: BoyBrumby click here  Not sure if BB reads these awards, but does not stop us giving them out! Also Special Mention to PhoenixFire for this: click here

The Sobers Award (Most varied poster of the week) The true all-rounder of CW you must be able to contribute to a number of threads. And the Winner is: adharcric , ‘I’ve been everywhere man, across the ….’

Tony Greig Award (Worst prediction of the week) Will he ever live down that ‘We will make them grovel’ prediction re- the West Indies? And the Winner is: Prince EWS click here I once predicted that Mark Taylor would not make it as a Test batsman after watching his first Test Match. It can be a tough game to predict

Inzamam Award (Vaguest poster of the week) We are not sure what he is talking about, but we hope he knows. And the Winner is: Sam hitter for this click here and I thought since Fraz was back, he would be a shoe in (where dose that expression come from?) :)

The Sir Geoffrey Award (Most knowledgeable poster of the week) We were going to call this the Richie Benaud award, but after speaking to Boycs, he assured us he new twice as much as Richie. And the Winner is: The Sean , displayed a good knowledge on a number of different cricketing topics this week

The Bradman Award (Overall CW poster of the week) Simply the best no matter what the debate or criteria. And the Winner is: Silent Striker after three weeks of huge posts, this week had less, but higher quality, which adds up to a deserving winner of the Bradman

Agarkar/Mohammed award for ('At least their trying' award)
just like the players this award is named after, they may not be quite good enough for any other award, but at least we remember them. And the Winner is: ripper868 has started off okay, and should turn into a quality poster

The Mike Hussey award for best newcomer (less then 500 posts), not too many have had a great debut and continued success like “Mr Cricket” And the Winner is:
McKanga has started well, enjoyed some of his posts, would like to see him post a little more often

The Gatting V Rana award for the best debate of the week, and the winners are: Langeveldt & some one who we can not name for legal reasonsAgain from the SA and quota thread

***NEW*** - Saj Award for best rant of the week (following Saj's outburst after the 3rd Test, and no Saj, we don't know what you were doing out there either, it's a sad indictment on the quality of our reserves: And the Winner is: Dravid for this click here Not happy with a certain player not tucking in his shirt. As my old captain would say “if you can’t play like a cricketer, you can at least look like one”

Please remember, these awards are not officially endorsed by CW management :)

The Wheel is Forever
I thought I had a shot at the Skull, but I'd take the Bradders any day. Thats like #3 or 4 for me.

I own you all.

Prince EWS

Global Moderator
Two Greigies in a row for me. Really though, he didn't score a hundred or anything, and I didn't actually make a prediction as such this time - merely asking several questions. So while I probably still deserved the award, it has nothing on last week's Symonds predicition...

With all this ignoring the meaning of the AA/DM award, I officially take ownership of it back and will award from hereon.

Thankyou :). I want the old award team back, the one that was in action during September-October- Early November. Adharcric can stay as long as he remembers to nominate me this week.

:p.

Being annoying in your way won't help you win the AA/DM
It was just a joke, chill... .

EDIT: Anyways, I don't care about AA/DM anymore I am aiming for the big leagues now bro.

Another joke, hope you atleast got this one.

Thanks for the award. I suppose it gets dull giving it to Faaip every week, so I'm happy to take it on loan... ;)
