I was pretty sure that being in Yorkshire made it God-forsaken wherever it was... but from my one, vague, childhood memory of driving through Ben Rhydding (there's a Little Chef nearby, isn't there?) it's pretty bleak even by Yorkshire standards.

(NOTE - This post uses (admittedly weak) humour and regional rivalry as gentle banter. It is not a personal attack)
