Just realised that he has become an ICC Match Referee interesting career choice but I think it's great that former International/Domestic Players are putting something back into the game that is helping today's generation.
Would everyone think it is a viable option to invest more time in producing more and more of these systems that produce a lot more top quality educated officials.
The problem is that as soon as players retire they lose touch with the governing body or the international/domestic scene.
Some programs that I should be implemented if not already implemented are free courses for officials from each governing body this will encourage a lot of people to particapate in the sport of cricket and keep people involved for a long time.
And an instant hit umpire bonus for former International/Domestic players that work their way up to the international scene. This could be eg $50,000.
What other ideas could work?
