Stats Spider Batting XI

I thought of a very simple game to test out the new CW Stats Spider…

http://www.cricketweb.net/statsspider/

Let’s select the best batting XI using the Stats Spider only, with the following very simple rules:

(1) State one-player per post to fill positions 1-XI (any order);

(2) For a player to be nominated, Stats Spider must show that they have scored more career runs in that position than any other position during their career;

(3) Once a player is nominated, another player can replace them by showing (a) they meet requirement of (2) and (b) they have a higher batting average

Example: If Warne is nominated at # 8 (where he batted most of his career) Marshall would replace him if he was also nominated at # 8 as he has a higher batting average.

P.s. It’s just a bit of fun and at least we’ll avoid the Murali Vs Warne posts as they batted in different positions :)

I'll start with the obvious:

1.
2.
3. Bradman (99.94) http://www.cricketweb.net/statsspider/player/graph/884431-Test-12.php
4.
5.
6.
7.
8.
9.
10.
11.

1. Len Hutton (56.67) http://www.cricketweb.net/statsspider/player/graph/242947-Test-12.php
2.
3. Don Bradman (99.94) http://www.cricketweb.net/statsspider/player/graph/884431-Test-12.php
4. Sachin Tendulkar (53.95) http://www.cricketweb.net/statsspider/player/graph/905006-Test-12.php
5.
6. Garry Sobers (57.78) http://www.cricketweb.net/statsspider/player/graph/535347-Test-12.php
7.
8.
9.
10.
11. Glenn McGrath (7.36) http://www.cricketweb.net/statsspider/player/graph/156211-Test-12.php

btw...I didn't think 1 & 2 would be seperated but I see that they are (so the purpose of this test was worth it already :)

Also, does anyone know how to turn the "player name" into the "link", instead of listing both?

The image below should help with the links. When you insert the URL using the globe the second part is automatically highlighted. You can just type for example 10. Jeff Thomson straight over the highlighted text.

McGrath? This is the Batting XI, we need no bowling.
Re-read 1st post...use Stats spider to ensure the nominated player scored more runs in that position than any other position throughout his career
