To clarify the rules from Post # 1:

(2) For a player to be nominated, Stats Spider must show that they have scored more career runs in that position than any other position during their career;

(3) Once a player is nominated, another player can replace them by showing (a) they meet requirement of (2) and (b) they have a higher batting average

So Gavaskar doesn't replace Hutton

....btw, Is Mcgrath the best # 11 :laugh:

Should we count both opening position as the same?

I can't believe McGrath is the most prolific #11 in history? Thats shocking. Murali is pushing him close though, and will eventually take him over. I'm sure we've missed someone.
