England bowling plans leaked?

Haven’t read the Cricinfo.com article but the document/Dossier (a photocopy) was shown on Sky Sports New, didn’t look to in-depth. Players name followed by a brief couple of sentences with the players weaknesses, areas of attack I.e. Andy Symonds supposedly has a weakness or a penchant for hooking and that’s one way England should look to get him out, also he goes hard at the spinners which any Tom, Dick or Harry could have told you. As it goes Roy made the dossier pretty much redundant, didn’t hook anything did he or not for a very long time at least.

GIMH

Norwood's on Fire
Gilchrist is weak when a right arm bowler bowls round the wicket so the ball is coming across him. That was another precious gem unearthed.

And Warne is susceptible to bouncers early in his innings.

It's hardly rocket science, but still, these things shouldn't ever be released really, until the players in question never have to face us again

I was listening at the time, (infact CW had the story before cricinfo or any other news service for that matter :p) and was a little annoyed at the ABC reading it out. They shouldn't have.

Anyways, the big deal here is not the document itself - as GIMH said, most of the things are obvious - it's the fact that stuff like this was able to get out.

Other: Vulnerable to swinging ball, bouncing ball, and ball. Bald head, deflect shine from that on to the ball. Actually screw these notes. Just bowl to him, that's all that is required.

I think it was Duncan Fletcher that leaked the document to try to convince the world that we actually had a plan.
If the plan was to feed Symonds half volley's and long hops to boost his Test career then it worked, especially having bowler number 6 bowling at him to speed him through the nervous 90's.
