Thoughts on Jenner? He really doesn`t seem to have done anything before/since his work with Warne.

I think we'll see 3/4 pacers with Symonds bowling to the conditions for a couple of years after MacGill retires which could be another 3 years. Then we'll see who can take Warnes spot long term, most of these guys will be in their prime in 5 years time.

I remember the pre-Warne era and I fear the post-Warne one :scared:

Cameron White....becasue hes a victorian. and so is warney. that is all the logic i have for this decision. Its pretty eveident byt the poll reults that there is no real stand out for anyone, all the votes being evenly spread and all.

While noone will be as good as Warne for generations to come i would have to say Cameron White to become his replacement, due to the fact he can Bat and bowl and if you just wanted a bowler i would say Cullen.

Interesting that each of the former candidates are now of an age whereby you would expect a spinner to be at the peak of their powers. Dan Cullen is only 31, Cullen Bailey is 30, Nathan Hauritz is 33, Xavier Doherty is 32, Aaron Heal is 32 and Beau Casson is 32. With the exception of Doherty and Hauritz (T20 only), the professional careers of these spinners are now over.

the missing generation
You could throw Krejza (32) in with that lot as well.

O'Keefe's very much in the same age bracket, tbf. Funny how he ended up the most successful of the lot in First Class cricket despite no-one thinking much of him when he was younger; says a bit about the coaching staff around at the time, I think.

the missing generation
That entire generation in all facets of cricket could be construed as a missing generation. So many underachievers/disappointers.

He also forgot Cameron White, who didn't even turn out to be a specialist spinner. Worst selection of my lifetime?

Also odd no-one knew **** about Nathan Lyon until he was 23. Perhaps a positive in this case.
