In a local paper there was the question:

"Is there anyone in Australia who has learnt to shut up?"

I kid you not! Back Page
"Age is just a stupid number"

    20...that's a rather big number :(:(:(

Hmm how many career wickets has the English bowling attack got between them????
I think Warney has more on his own....

Heres another little peice out of the Sydney Paper 2day...

12 Ways to save the Ashes

    1/ Play French Cricket instead

    2/ Blindfold all Aussie Batsman

3/ Give England 20 Fielders all with baseball gloves...

4/ Allow the Poms to pick any Aussie Backpacker in London...

5/ Sack England and play Scotland and Guernsey in alternating series..

6/ Only 1 Innings for Australia

7/ Give England 6 stumps to bowl at...

8/ One hand one bounce for England, Tip and run for Australia...

9/ Restrict Glenn McGrath to underarm...

10/ Australia to field for England...

11/ Australia to Bowl for England

12/ Australia to Bat for England

    Well the actual headline was:

"Why can't the Aussies learn to shut up?"

"England have a bad day in the field but long before the ashes even started Australian "experts" were making up comments which were supposed to have been made by English cricketers and then complaining they had a defeatest attitude..." etc etc

    You get the general drift.

Amazingly the editor seems to have caught every Englishman's thoughts at the current moment in the last sentance..."And for heaven's sake...its only a game"

Well I suppose it makes a difference from over here where the press try everything they can to critisise the England team and build up the opposition...but the Aussie ones do tend to take the bashings of the opposition a bit too far.

Anyone noticed this? It seems Shane Warne's left eye has been replaced by a cricket ball! Maybe that means he can't bowl

remove the "%3Cbr" from the url to view the pic...or look at Blewie's signiture bit

Thats ok if Warney can't bowl, i mean we have a guy called MacGill...
Remember him, he's the 2nd string Spinner who carved the poms up last time they were here....
So won't make much of a difference...
