This is now a 3-day “Selection” vote for the # 4 position in the 1986-2006 World XI (the 3 runner-ups will be allowed into the preliminary vote for the # 5 batting position).

The four nominees for selection at # 4 are:

Rahul Dravid (RHB): 104 tests, 9048 runs @ 58.75 (23/46) ---- [at # 3 6818 @ 61.42] [at # 4, 901 @ 60.06]

This will be an interesting XI if both Lara and Tendulkar miss out. Especially interesting as both of them made the all time Cricket Web XI.

How is Lara in there when he's only got 901 runs at the position? Should've had Kallis in there over him, IMO. Ah well, that's democracy for you.
