Ajit Agarkar was born at worli on 17 12 1977he is 27 now. He had joined tata team under 16 he tour Pakistan with India A team he bang 16 wickets in two test matches with two 5 wickets haul. He was when selected in India senior team for independence cup in he has taken 50 in 23 matches He snatched the record from none other than Australian legend Dennis Lillie in 23 September 1998. He had scored fastest 50runs by Indian in ODI agarkar had taken 200wickets in133 matches 4th'Indian to reach this mark but fastest .1000and more runs and 200wickjet 2nd Indian to reach this mark but fastest in world he scored 202 runs in 11matches he bat just 8 times in it. Salvi like agarkar both are good Player agarkar first played for tata team under 16 and mumbai his best figure is in test unbeaten 109*against at lords and 16.2-241-6against Australia in Adelaide in one day 95 run against west Indies in India and 9-2-42-6 in Melbourne against Australia he is ba from rupale and fatima is mba he is wedding anniversary is on 9 Feb. he has written many articles on cricket in Marathi and English there is a picture of ball from which he has broken the stump
Mumbai seamer developed flu yesterday.

this photo is of agarkar when he wicket of Justin langer IN MY OPINION AJIT AGARKAR IS A BETTER AND PROVEN ALLROUNDER. IN FACT THE TEAM MANAGEMENT ERRED IN ITS POLICY AND WAS JUST HELL BENT ON GIVING CHANCES ONLY TO PATHAN WHEREAS WHENEVER AGARKAR WALKED TO THE CREASE IT WAS IN A PRESSURE SITUATION. HE IS ONE OF THE CLEANEST HITTERS OF THE BALL AND HAS PROVEN HIS BATTING SKILLS EARLIER ALSO ON MANY OCCASIONS WHEN HE WAS SENT UP THE ORDER. ALSO HE HAS COME TO THE SIDE AFTER A LAYOFF AND HIS CONFIDENCE AS FAR AS HIS BATTING IS CONCERNED IS NOT THAT HIGH. SENDING HIM UP THE ORDER WILL ALSO BOOST HIS CONFIDENCE AND HE CAN BAT FREELY ONCE HE HAS PLAYED ONE OR TWO GOOD INNINGS. AS FAR AS BOWLING IS CONCERNED HE IS QUICKEST TO TAKE 50 AS WELL AS 100 AND 200 WICKETS IN ODIS FOR THE COUNTRY. FOOLS LIKE KIRTI AZAD AND MANINDER SINGH WHO ARE NOT AWARE OF HIS ACHIEVEMENTS JUST KEEP ON HARPING AGAINST HIM. IN A CHAT PROGRAMME IN ONE OF THE TV CHANNELS WHEN MANINDER AND KIRTI WERE CONFRONTED WITH A VIEWER WHO BLASTED THEM FOR OPPOSING AGARKAR IN SPITE OF HAVING SUCH A SUCCESSFUL CAREER WHAT THE TWO HAD TO SAY WAS REALLY PATHETIC. WHEN INFORMED BY THE VIEWER THAT AGARKAR HOLDS THE WORLD RECORD FOR TAKING THE QUICKEST 50 WICKETS ONLY IN HIS 23RD MATCH BEATING DENNIS LILEE'S RECORD, WHAT THESE 'GREAT EXPERTS' HAD TO SAY WAS 'HOW MANY WICKETS HE HAS TAKEN AFTER THAT? AND LIKE VERY LEARNED JUDGES ANSWERED THEMSELVES - 70 WICKETS OR SO. WELL SUCH IS THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE ON THE PART OF THESE SO CALLED EXPERTS. AJIT AGARKAR ON THAT DAY WAS HAVING CLOSE TO 220 ODI WICKETS UNDER HIS BELT WHICH THESE PEOPLE CANNOT EVEN DREAM OF. SO 220 MINUS 50 MAKES OUT TO 170 WICKETS. SO HELL BENT WERE THEY ON ERASING HIS REPUTATION AND SHOWING HIM IN BAD LIGHT THAT THEY REDUCED 100 WICKETS FROM HIS RECORDS. AJIT AGARKAR IS A SOFT SPOKEN MAN. IF THERE WERE ANY OTHER MAN LIKE GANGULY IN HIS PLACE, HE WOULD SEEK A PUBLIC APOLOGY FROM THESE TWO PEOPLE FOR HARMING HIS REPUTATION. BUT THEIR MENTALITY OF TRYING TO GET RID OF A MUMBAIYA MAN LIKE AGARKAR, A TEAM WHICH HAS TIME AND AGAIN BEATEN THEM, IS QUITE UNDERSTANDABLE, FOR THEY CAN'T EVEN IN THEIR DREAMS RAISE THEIR VOICES AGAINST THE OTHER MUMBAIYA MAN, SACHIN.

Dont call anything related to the Great One as spam. :@
The Great One is great, but he requires a tasteful, new approach to exploring His greatness, not the same stuff again. It's the problem with the Bible, and the Koran - once you've read it once it just gets boring.

Agarkar should now deliver with the ball By tapan joshi and sangeeta mhatre ‘Bombay Duck’ Ajit Agarkar has redeemed himself, at least temporarily, with the bat in spectacular style by notching up a hundred on his maiden Test appearance at Lord’s to effectively bury that uncharitable sobriquet. The century, when his place in the Indian team for the second Test against England at Trent Bridge was in serious doubt, is ideal from his personal point of view to cement the 24-year-old’s berth for the time being. However, his true test of character will come with the ball in the Nottingham Test after his less-than-impressive display as a first change seam bowler in the longer version of the game ever since his Test debut in 1998-99 at Harare. Agarkar’s record as a Test bowler is extremely modest– just 29 wickets in 12 Tests spread over four seasons and that too at a very high spending rate of plus 42. This sort of success with the ball wouldn’t cut ice with any leading outfit in the world. It would be interesting to try and identify the reasons for his poor returns in Tests as compared to One-Day Internationals in which he set a world record for reaching 50 wickets in [23] fewer matches than any other bowler. Agarkar is an attacking bowler who gets the team wickets in the ODIs, though often at a bigger cost than what the team perhaps had bargained for. But in ODIs the batsmen too take more chances in the first 15 overs when the field restrictions are on than in the traditional form of the game. In Tests a new ball bowler has to constantly probe the batsmen’s weaknesses by bowling on or just outside the off stump, but Agarkar has still not developed that sort of control to be an effective bowler at the highest level of the game. His wiry frame belies the fact that he can be quite sharp off the pitch, can also move the old ball appreciably, but the nippiness should be accompanied by better control of line and length than he has shown so far for him to get among the wickets more regularly and at lesser cost. The Indian fans are now hoping that the belated success that he has attained with the bat would rub off on Agarkar the bowler and enable him to attain more proficiency with the ball, for which he’s primarily selected in the squad. If the Mumbai player can tighten up his line and length without sacrificing the pace he can become a far better bowler than he is at present. For this to happen he needs to work harder to develop the nagging lines of attack that have made bowlers like Glenn McGrath the envies of cricketers around the world. :: Click here for other News

Agarkar had earlier struck a career-best 95 to help India reach 283 for six.
The 24-year-old, moved up the order as an experiment with next year's World Cup in mind, shared in a 98-run stand for the third wicket with Vangipurappu Laxman (47) and 75 for the fourth with Rahul Dravid, who was 46 not out off 42 balls.
Agarkar's 101-ball knock, which beat his previous best of 67 not out against Zimbabwe in Rajkot two years ago, rescued India from 49 for two after electing to bat on a freshly-laid wicket.
Agarkar turned the tide by flicking Collins to the mid-wicket boundary, driving a slower ball from Drakes through long on and then smashing him cleanly over mid-wicket for a big six.
He got his second one-day 50, off 60 balls, but Collins finally had him caught in the coveer
The wiry bowler, who has driven a lot of his genuine supporters to exasperation with his highly inconsistent spells at the Test level, exceeded himself and everyone’s expectations by bowling a sustained spell of top-class swing bowling to make deep inroads into the top order of the home team’s second innings before mopping up the tail in the manner of a first-rate new-ball bowler. Rarely has one seen Agarkar bowl in a more inspired manner throughout an innings at the Test level. He seems to have come of age at last. That should be sweet music to the ears of the Indian cricket fans.
Agarkar deserves all the praise for setting up the famous win which was finally achieved once again due to the diligence, character and dedication shown by Dravid who has been the veritable Rock of Gibraltar for this team over the last year of so. No amount of accolades is enough for this supremely committed Bangalore ace. Indian cricket couldn’t have achieved what it has over the last few years without his fabulous contribute wiry bowler, who has driven a lot of his genuine supporters to exasperation with his highly inconsistent spells at the Test level, exceeded himself and everyone’s expectations by bowling a sustained spell of top-class swing bowling to make deep inroads into the top order of the home team’s second innings before mopping up the tail in the manner of a first-rate new-ball bowler. Rarely has one seen Agarkar bowl in a more inspired manner throughout an innings at the Test level. He seems to have come of age at last. That should be sweet music to the ears of the Indian cricket fans.

Dont make this AA Vs DM.... :@
If I wanted to do that, I'd write a biography of DM, using poor grammar AND EXCESSIVE USE OF THE CAPS LOCK KEY, and post that a score or so times.

I think a raffle is a best way to decide Fraz's assassin.

Hey, that would be a good name for a greyhound.
