The seedings will be based off these rankings, thats why I took the time to rank them. Just so there is a more objective way when seedings are concerned (not random), and there is a slightly better chance that we will be left with only the great innings towards the end.

Two survivors (Trevor "Barnacle" Bailey & Alan Oakham) say it was as much Tony Lock's failure as Laker's victory tho. On the ultimate sticky-dog Lock was (incredibly) skidding the ball through! Bailey says,

"Tony Lock got so cross that he wasn't getting any wickets that he was bowling faster and faster.

So in actual fact he bowled as a seam bowler who never turned the ball. If he had slowed down he had to get wickets but his reaction was to simply skid the ball through.

Any spin bowler who was prepared to spin the ball was going to take wickets but Tony hardly beat the bat, while at the other end it was turning square."

I don't know about that. 6/17 are exceptional figures. If they were against Bangladesh or ZImbabwe, I might agree with you. But I can't just straight up sub 7/43 for 6/17. Maybe you can nominate someone else? (Or if other people agree with you, I can sub it).

Basically the criteria for a sub would be clear difference in the quality.

One was against a side needing only 85 for victory, which lauched the Ashes tradition, the other against a side that was defeated 5-0 and were lucky to come that close.

I wanted to pick an innings to replace that I had watched, a lot of those on the list I did not witness
