Interesting to see Corey Collymore joint 10th in the bowling list. Where's that come from?
He had had quite a decent run recently.Very underrated in my oponion.

that to me is an indicator of the general state of bowling standards in the world at the moment that a colleymore is rated in the top 10...

I think if Flintoff was a specialist batsman given a clean start from now on he could average about 40.

If he was a specialist bowler i reckon he could average about 28.

yeah he has but he still has that tendency to play 1 shot too many
Collymore is capable of some quite fantastic spells. He had problems in recent years bowling too far back of a length - and his movement would beat the edge - but he seems to have rectified that of late. To me, he's always been hugely under-rated.

Five years ago, Jacques Kallis was 12th, Ten years ago, Kenny Benjamin was 12th. Fifteen years ago, Gus Fraser, 20, Ravi Shastri. Today, number 12 is Shaun Pollock. Who's the best?

Fraser 15 years ago > Pollock now

Also it is debatable whether Flintoff can ever get his bowling average down below 25 before he retires and one thing Im sure of he will not retire with a batting average over 40 AND a bowling average under 25.
Who set the < 25 bowing av & > 40 batting av for an AR? This has never been achieved as far as I know.

I would have thought that < 30 bowling & > 35 batting av would be more realistic as a "Genuine" AR, which Freddie should achieve quite easily.....

I was responding to an earlier post that talks about Flintoff doing >40 <25.

Freddie has the talent to average 40+ if he concentrates more on his batting while on the other hand Kallis would never be able to average under 25 even if he concentrates more on his bowling.
