SL by beating Holland 2-0 and England 5-0 have achieved a clean sweep over 2 of their ex-colonial rulers !!:)

Its a shame the Portugese do not play Cricket at International level, because that would have given Sri Lanka a chance to beat all three of their Colonial Rulers in one go !!

Was he not playing due to County Cricket commitments ?

What a shame , Shouldn't playing for your country be given more priority over County fixtures?
I believe that that rule has now been changed for associates playing full sides.

They'd struggle with the rules.

Ronaldo runs into bowl and he wouldn't know what to dowhen he got to the crease, does he dive stright down the pitch or roll off it?

You got to admire the timing - the announcement came on the day after every ODI between European Associates and the full members had been completed. Since the only player this will affect in the other three countries is John Davison, and he probably has lost his SA contract anyway, it essentially matters diddly-squat in terms of World Cup preparation, and will only come into effect until the summer of 2007 (when the Associates need to schedule ODIs on their own).

All that said and done its still a step in the right direction. And it will make a huge impact for tournaments like the ICC Trophy which will essentially decided a country's future for the next 4 years.. A late announcement, but definitely a step in the right direction..

And how about Luis Figo arguing with the Umpire to try and get one of the batsmen redcarded and sent off to improve his Team's chances ..... They will cheat all the way win the games !!
