US$5 Million Twenty20 Match

Jungle Jumbo

International Vice-Captain
Presumably Allan Stanford, that US magnate, is behind all of this. If he really wants to get West Indian cricket moving, $1/2million in prizemoney would be more than enough, and he could spend the rest on grassroots/regional or even real international cricket.

Too much of these all-star, non real international matches happening - what good did that Pakistan v Asia series the other week do for worldwide cricket as a whole?

Just seen South Africa win the Twenty20 cup in Bermuda, they had some verteran team out which was great to watch.. Fanie de Villiers, Gary Kirsten, Clive Rice, Pieter Strydom etc. all beating the hell out of the Bermudan attack.. Shame they were playing ProS***ty but it looked a good laugh, and they won which was good..

Great to watch Big Man Jack pump the juice out of the ball. Jeez, he hit it hard.

I don't know what this means to Bermudas bid to lift the CWC trophy after their near 1st team was thumped by a group of old Saffies. Maybe they are no longer pre-tournament favourites.

Kirsten is a legend though, He and De Villiers could dominate a team in their sleep, wake up and then over breakfast discuss who has the cooler hair or the more attractive wife.. Golden days tbh...
