Stump Microphone question

Hi first post here and I have a bit of a question that I hope you can help....

Basically does anyone know or can explain what the stump or no ball mic is? Is it actually IN the stumps? in the ground? on the boundary?

I realise this is a techie question but this will really help me out!

cheers

Yeah, about 5cm/2 inches behind the stumps.

You asked what no-ball mic is, and Mick (or Michael) Kasprowicz is of course notorious for bowling no-balls.

Actually I read no ball mic after a search on google but thinking about it....it doesn't make sense having a mic for no balls, you'd have a camera but a mic would be used for edges etc...should have thought of that eh!
