When is the Game in the Balance?

By the same token, 330/7 in general would be a nicely balanced score. The batting team is close to a respectable score, the bowlers just need to finish the tail to give their team a good chance for a 1st innings lead.

At the end of the first day - 250/5 or 300/6 (i.e. 1 wicket for every 50 runs)
At the end of the second day - Team 1 all out for 350, Team 2 150/3 or 200/4
At the end of the 3rd day - Team 2 all out for 350, team 1 150/3
At the end of the 4th day - Team 1 all out for 350, Team 2 150/3
At the end of the 5th day - Team 2 all out for 350.

Result = Tie. :laugh::laugh:

Something like 100-3, because if the pitch is fairly flat then the team batting first has a fairly significant advantage which has been wiped out. If it's not so flat then there's a small advantage and 100-3 isn't too bad anyway. If it's a seamer-friendly damp pitch 100-3 is decent but the pitch will be drying out. Obviously 100-3 can still lead to a wide range of scores.
