IT has been hotter than ever in Chennai over the past 3 years. The hottest day temperatures have been going up by 2 or 3 degree celsius in each of these last 3 years. Maybe Deano was just not used to 39-40 degree celsius heat. It's not that difficult for us, but maybe for people from other countries, it might just be a little too much. But it is definitely not easy to play cricket in the summer here.

I suppose the humidy would be the real killer? Whilst the heat would be excessive, somebody could manage when it is around 40c but when the humidy is around 90-100% then it is hell?

My old work shed used to get that hot come summer time.

For sure - he's too good for Pura Cup and County cricket.

Probably didn't get into Test cricket early enough to iron out the chinks in the armour, that only international-class bowlers can exploit.
