Only inferior in comparison to Ganguly in captaincy terms (and not inferior in general).

IMO, Ganguly was probably India's greatest ever captain in both forms of the game (and I really used to rate Ajit Wadekar).

At their peaks (1996/7 - 2001/2), Sourav was as good as Sachin as a batsman . Overall Sachin Hands down.

As a Captain - Sourav Hands down. Sachin cant complain that he didn't get a fair chance or anything. It was offered to him on a platter, twice. He just couldn't handle it.

Bevan could play innings no-one else could.
And virtually no-one (except maybe Shahid Afridi) could play innings Bevan couldn't.

IMO, Bevan is in his own category, then the like of Tendulkar\IVA.
    Then the Anwars, Gangulys, etc.

You think Ganguly couldn't put fear-of-God into bowlers?
I think many batsmen - Anwar, Jayasuriya, Trescothick, Flintoff, Klusener, Gilchrist, so-on, could do so and did, many times.

Clearly Sachin's recent form places him well below Daren Ganga, who has (amazingly) scored a run or two of late.

no comparison whatsover as far as batsmanship goes....tendulkar is the greatest one day opener in history and is only rivalled/bettered by richards as a one day batsman....

Seems you r not an avid follower of cricket in the subcontinent. Sachins last oneday scores were (b4 the shoulder operation) 100,95,45,0
so he is the usual self in ODIs with the law of averages catching up with him. (for that duck)
Yes his recent form in test matches is way below par. the only confident innings he played was against england when india looked dangerous in their chase .His 34 runs in the last test was also good till he failed to a good delivery.

Captaincy - Ganguly. The other cricketing stuff - Sachin.
We miss you, Fardin. :(. RIP.

I think he was referring to the fact that Sachin is injured now, and hence his 'current form' is non-existent

Before his injury Sachin was on fire.

I was talking about Tests and was quite clearly being tongue-in-cheek.
