Gilchrist has to be in as keeper. People often forget that wicketkeeper-batsmen are allrounders too.
Also, going over your team Chaminda, I think Lee should definetely be in for Maharoof. He beats him with both bat and ball, averaging 21.08 with the bat and 31.26 with the ball compared to Maharoof's 20.5 with the bat and 49.53 with the ball.

On principle Maharoof has to be in the side, cus he only got brought in to fill the Flintoff role.

    NZ All Rounder XI (ODI's)

    Astle
    Latham
    Coney
    Styris
    C Cairns
    Oram
    Harris
    Nash
    Vettori
    L Cairns
    Some guy called Hadlee

    What a ridiculous team!

You could even go a step further and pick a current NZ All Rounders XI

    Astle
    Vincent
    Taylor
    Styris
    McMillan
    Oram
    Harris
    Vettori
    Mills
    Franklin
    Adams

Vincent is there becuase he can keep and bowl and bat.

    Mind you, so can Sinclair...

I know they were both before ODIs, but how about John Reid and Bruce Taylor?

I have noticed actually that over the last few years or so New Zealand seem to have been even more obsessed with multi-skilled players than Duncan Fletcher.
