there is no reason he cant bowl as well as Shoib did if he gets his line and length right.
Binga is just dumb, he is getting carried away with the pace stuff, no point in wasting ur energy if u can't get ur line and length right.Don't write Lee off so soon, as i said earlier, Lee is hell talented and is bound to improve.

Just a couple of experienced batsman in the Pakistani ranks and this match was arguably theirs' for the taking.

Let's see what happens in Sharjah.

Yeah they should have won, if only to quieten down some of those ****y (unbearably sometimes) Aussies

Akhter's loud mouth annoys me, he says he the best pacer after taking 5 Aussie wkt, going by the same theory Harbhajan must be the greatest spinner around these days!
Akthar's cricket is about aggression and power cricket, you cant blame him or criticise him for his attitude. He's just a typical, infact exraordinary fast bowler. That spell was nothing but extraordinary, I haven't seen such a devastating and dominating spell of bowling in my time, thats why he is playing the mind games.

And yes another thing, for its impact on the match, that spell should have won him the man of the match award. Warne bowled well but the pitch was a major factor their, also that LBW decision (Younis) was uggghhh.... Australia just managed to escape.....hopefully the next match will bring better news :)

Well.. Pak managed to put a much better fight than I expected. This is what I meant when I constantly remind people not to write them off. They are the most naturally talented team in the world, also the most volatile, so you never know what to expect.

Well... Pakistan just missed out so our predictions weren't too far out. Now for Sharjah. Anyone know what October pitches are like in the UAE? R_Powell_fan?

I call Pakistan 0-3 Australia still.

I suspect that too, and if that happens then it will be a very unfair result for the young cricketers.

Comming back into the series after such a close defeat is always difficult.I remember the second test b/w Pak and Aus in Aus (Hobart '99) Pak lost the match which they should really have won and in the third test the players were so disheartened that Aus crushed the Pak team.I just hope it doesn't happen again!

Aus would come up with a much better display with the bat and in the field in the remaining tests.Pak will have to bowl Aus to a score of about 300 or so in each innings as their batting is inexperianced and cannot put up a big total.

Good performance by the young Pak team, they lost the match coz of their inexperiance.

Pak should drop Sami and bring in Danish for the next test match. Also it would be better if Pakistan go into the match with 6 specialists batsmen as their batting is still weak.Razzak should be dropped, he struggles against spin and it would be better to replace him with a regular batsman.

Will it be 3-0 to Aus?? Can't say that for sure, IF Akhter manage to bowl like he did in the last innings( and get good support from Saqi and Danish) then anything can happen.Basically Pak lost the match because they allowed Aus to put up a big total in the first innings, if Pak bowlers are able to bowl out Aus cheaply then Pak will have a good chance, but knowing the Aussies, it won't be an easy task for Pakistan.

Pak probably lost the match because their tailenders cant bat and their top order inexperience was showed up by Warne.

Their bowling attack is still pretty menacing resting on Akhtar's shoulders.

Hayden, way to go !! Gotta admire his guts but think about what the Pakistanis are going to say to him everytime he walks out
Second time in two or so years that I've seen this happen.

It would be interesting to see how Aussie off spinner performs in the next test match.Jason is out with Injury and Aus doesn't have a good pacer to replace him so the spinner will definately play.
As things stand, McGrath and Warne will have to do bulk of the job.Lee is hardly impressive, but coz there isn't any good pacer, Aus are persisting with him.
Wonder what Aus would do if McGrath get injured??

Will it be 3-0 to Aus?? Can't say that for sure
Ironically, I think that this sort of a loss normally deflates the morale of a young team like Pakistan, and Aus are seasoned players. I wont be surprised if the ensuing tests result in lop sided victories for Aus. If not then Pak are for real, and for that to happen someone among the batsmen needs to step up big time, like a big century or a double century.

Younis is the senior most batter, he will have to put in extra effort.Taufeeq/Nazir opening pair is still fragile, i wish Mohd Waseem was selected, would have been ideal for one down slot.
