Tendulkar may be fit to tour.
Agarkar in place of VRV or RP...And why the hell is Dinesh Kartik there?I mean he's pretty good...but we also got a pretty able Keeper in RainaQuote:

I don't think Raina is a keeper, Nikhil.
Must be a laugh line.....Quote:

Munaf Patel is an under-rated batsman, and can come useful as a six-hitter to support the top seven batsmen. Harbhajan may be out of form, but he's still India's second-best bowler, and none of the pacers come close to him, even on supposedly bowler-friendly pitches. Then again, Powar is a good choice– pick a five-man attack of Irfan, Sree/VRV, Munaf, Kumble and Powar, and you will have more run-scoring options despite taking five bowlers. RP Singh is better as a one-day specialist than a Test extra. Another option is Pravin Kumar, who's been more effective than Munaf in the Ranji Trophy, with bat and ball, so he may make the side ahead of Munaf or VR Singh or Agarkar, especially in the forthcoming ODI's.Quote:

Irfan and Sreesanth can take the new ball, then Munaf comes in first-change, then Kumble and Powar. Irfan can use the movement through the air, while Sreesanth can attack the batsmen and push them back. Munaf can hold a line and length for some time. Kumble and Powar will be an interesting pair to watch. Ultimately, even if the management take a step backwards and play six batsmen, the top three will have to score heavily, but they will still struggle to take 20 wickets between four bowlers. That is why the bottom five should also be involved in batting.
I have no problems with your squad except I still think Harbhajan might be included. Also, I would give preference to Gambhir and Raina over Jaffer and Kaif respectively.Quote:

I want to see VRV's performance against england first before giving him the nod before Santh.
I would like to see India go in with this combination -
Batsmen:
Sehwag
Jaffer
Dravid
Yuvraj
Kaif
Laxman
Raina
Venugopal Rao
Wicket-Keeper:Dhoni
Spinners:
Harbhajan
Kumble
Ramesh Powar
Pacers:
Irfan Pathan
RP Singh
Sreesanth
Munaf Patel
Only change in this squad of 16 can be - VRV Singh in place of Ramesh Powar. As for having an extra keeper, we have Dravid who can keep.
I m pretty sure I heard he is...on the stupid Fourth Umpire show on our National channel...but then again it was stupidity on my part that I listened to them and decided to post here w/o double-checking...Quote:

If he's the wicketkeeper for Karnataka, he must have been doing it only occasionally, since their regular wicketkeeper is Thilak Naidu, one-time India prospect. The last thing the Indian team needs is another Deep Dasgupta clone.Quote:
