Does 21-4-91-0 ( 6 ball overs) sound 'shredded' enough for you ?
C_C

I made it easy

Name 5 innings in a career spanning 70 tests, a no. of "super tests', and a 5 test series vs the world x1 and you come up with undefined figures that could belong to anyone.

Lillee went for 5 runs per over 3 times in his whole career.

His economy rate for his whole career was 2.75!!!!!!!!!

This was despite rarely bowling with more than 3 guys on the leg-side.

Call other people greater bowlers but never say he was inconsistent - youre simply showing your ignorance.

That is interesting. But SJS, don't you think the Windies quartet kept splitting wickets between them in such a way that affected their percentages?

Well I thought of that but then these are not absolute figures in number of wickets but percentages. The West Indians would surely get fewer wickets each since there were four of them but in the long run they would get fewer wickets of batsmen at every place in the order.

Whsat would happen, however, is that someone like Glen McGrath with a very strong spinner in the side, would find the middle order cleaned up by Warne who wouldnt be bowling in hort spells as the first and second change fast bowlers would have. Hence the lower percentage of middle order with McGrath which would automatically raise the percentage of the top order victims.

Snow too had in Underwood a very strong middle order remover.
