Oh okay, they have no email or web site either You would think with the amount of people shopping on line these days and the amount of people that collect books (mostly men it seems) it would be a must to have a web site

I have read both of those, I seem to remember the Davo one more, so maybe that was better. All I can remember of the Lindwall one is him saying captaincy was easy. Davo basically says Meckiff is a chucker (if I remember correctly).

They have no email or web site. There is one called Winchbooks, which is just outside of Canberra and they have a lot of cricket books www.winchbooks.com.au

Also this place has a lot of cricket books but are a little pricey www.berkelouw.com.au

The best place in Aust is Roger Page cricket books in Melbourne but he does not have a web site, but can locate almost any book that you want
Thanks

Not sure which Sobers one it is, but if it is the one co-written with Harris, I do not think it anything special

The top one, would be my pick, although the Joy of Cricket is a good read

Agreed. I would rate them as
  1. Cricket Autopsy - Frith
  2. Joy of Cricket - Anthology
  3. Farewell to Cricket - Don
  4. My Autobiography - Gobers

The Joy of cricket is a real joy to read and I am tempted to rate it above except that its an anthology so....

Just read All Out by Gidieon Haigh and was going to review it but didn't like it much. The 20/20 hindsight ie putting a whole load of articles previously published together with a bit of padding in between really annoys me. Cricinfo really loved it.

Anyone else read it? Your thoughts?

Reading it as we speak, have only read 10 pages. If I have the right book? The latest Ashes series?

yeah that's the one. If you like it perhaps you should do the review as I was a bit disappointed.

Don't know how many London-based members we have here, but I thought this might be of interest. It has already started, but there should be a few goodies left. I'm sure Archie would go if it were a bit nearer.

Would anyone be interested in posting a list of cricket books they'd like to swap or purchase from others on CW and we could do our own 'virtual' second hand cricket book sale? Just a thought.
