"I am very happy and it will allow me to have lot more rice."
Eoin Morgan on being given a rice cooker for being Man of the Match in a Dhaka Premier Division game.
Arch, I was naturally interested in your review of the Bill Andrews story The Hand that bowled Bradman. I was even more interested in your final paragraph, where you invite readers to read Beyond Bat & Ball and review it for Cricket Web.
I did just that a year ago.
Will be reviewing "The Last Everyday Hero" about Bert Sutcliffe in the next week or so (when I get around to it, that is).
That was the idea. That's why I had put a message on your personal messages page on your profile...
Good stuff, but I expect Archie will invite someone else to review it a year from now ...
Some of those series were seriously under-reported I thought - none more so than 1970-71 when you consider all that happened; Lawry's sacking, the crowd trouble, the extra Test, the first ODI and so on. If someone could do as good a job on it as David Tossell did with Grovel! they would be guaranteed at least one reader.
