I totally agree. FWIW I'd go with Jamee's batting order.

Think therein may lie the prob with us: our XI is pretty ok, but there's little competiton for places & our reserves waiting to come in are generally inferior.

^Not really,Collingwood is up to the job,rob Key has scored a 200* before,Owasis Shah is a good player.Bowling wise,Plunkett Anderson and Tremlet are enough competition for me.

Could you honestly say tho, hand on heart, that any one of those players would currently strengthen our team? I suspect ultimately Plunkett or Anderson will replace Hoggard as both have a good few years on him, but currently I'd still take Hoggy.

I wouldn't replace any of those in the England team with Collingwood through choice...
Key somehow fluked his way to a 200*...Shah isn't test level.....Plunkett + Tremlet need at least another summer to fully develop....Anderson just needs to get his form back although arguably he's started to do that in the ODIs in Pakistan...but who would you leave out to bring him in?

I think Clarke will take over for Hodge, he has not fully convinced me yet that he is 'the real deal', I also thing we need 3 pace men, maybe Watson?

I would actually chuck in Sinclair and Fulton in although Fulton hasnt played a test for New Zealand yet and probably replace Hamish Marshall and I would replace Franklin with Either Kyle Mills or Daryl Tuffey probably Kyle Mills on current form. Franklin stands no chance of ever being good in ODIs in my opinion. Papps is a great player I want to see him play more often.

Not bad, but I think Australia would need a third seamer.

12th - Andrew Symonds

Andrew Symonds and Stuart MacGill are on the fringes of selection, depending on the state of the pitch.

Please NO!

Keep Bracken as far away from the Australian team for as LONG AS POSSIBLE!

MacGill is a far better bowler on any pitch than Bracken!
