Just for a laugh, let's do the all-time FC XIs for the major teams.

4. MG Bevan
5. SR Waugh
6. KR Miller
7. WAS Oldfield+

(No Bradman - he played for South Australia as well)

Well if Bradman isn't allowed to be picked I don't think we can ignore Bevo's season with Tasmania.

Yeah, maybe. But Bradman spent a good 10 years at SA (from memory), Bevan will spend 3 or 4.

Lancashire All Time Side (no limit on Foreigners :p)

G Pullar
C Washbrook
E Tyldesley
CL Lloyd(*)
E Paynter
I Chappell
FM Engineer(wk)
W Akram
JB Statham
MA Holding
SF Barnes

Special Mentions:

K Higgs
A Flintoff
J Briggs
CEH Croft
M Muralitharan
S Ramadhin

If limited to 2 Foreign players as today, Engineer comes out for G Duckworth, Flintoff in for Akram(and to bat above Duckworth). Probably Atherton in for Chappell with Washbrook dropping down the order.

Maybe Murali and Briggs in for Statham and Holding on a turner.

I'm sure someone can come up with a better Lancashire side.

If you take a period like that the Barbados side of the 1950's will read
1. Conrad Hunte
2. Basil Butcher
3. Everton Weekes
4. Clyde Walcott
5. Frank Worrell
6. Garfield Sobers
7. Seymore Nurse
8. Denis Atkinson
9. Charlie Griffith
10. Wes Hall
11. EL Hoad

Thats like an all time greats side.

They all were playing in the 1957-59 period but Worrell had left Barbados.

Karnataka were very strong in the mid 90s in India.
Yes as were Bombay before them but Barbados in their heyday were considered good enough to defeat a world side :) . There batting, particularly was astonishingly powerful.
