A Real 'World' ODI XI Side

Jungle Jumbo

International Vice-Captain
OK, I'm little bored and I've been thinking about this for a bit.

Put together an ODI side containing 11 players from different nationalities

e.g you must have one player from Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe, and another player from another nation (e.g Steve Tikolo, John Davison, Ed Joyce)

ODIs:

1 Steven Fleming (NZ)
2 Sachin Tendulkar (I)
3 Mohammad Ashraful (B)
4 Brian Lara (WI)
5 Inzamam-ul-Haq (P)
6 Andrew Flintoff (E)
7 Steve Tikolo (K)
8 Tatenda Taibu (Z)
9 Shaun Pollock (SA)
10 Glenn McGrath (A)
11 Muttiah Muralitharan (SL)

Drop Fleming, bring in Bond.

Drop Pollock, bring in De Villiers (now that is an big call but I'm a big fan of AB!. :))

EDIT: Aimed at JJ's side.

Here's mine, plenty of batting and bowling though the top order might be a bit weak:

1.Sachin Tendulkar
2.Chris Gayle
3.Steve Tikolo
4.Kevin Pietersen
5.Andrew Symonds
6.Mohammad Ashraful
7.Tatenda Taibu+
8.Shaun Pollock
9.Daniel Vettori
10.Chaminda Vaas
11.Shoaib Akhtar

Not really a big call, just a premature one since AB struggles to make the SA ODI team at the moment. He'll probably improve as time goes on and show just as much promise as he has shown in test cricket.

I guess I meant it's a big call in that I think if he played in that side regularly now I don't think he'd look completely inept. :)

Maybe one bowling option too many, but that'd be about my side.
