What will Hussey's test average be at the end of his career?

Assuming he gets out first ball after tea, makes ten consecutive ducks then gets dropped...27.21. Alternatively he could go on to score 401* tomorrow then retire in a blaze of glory, in which case he'll finish with an average of 248.33.

mmmnah, well i hope not.

put it this way, he's more experienced than clarke.... and he's clearly the 'better batsman', whos probably more 'tame' (although.. he has gotten out 3 times in test cricket doing the same shot)

mmm i say anything above 45.00 to 60?

Its very interesting how people can predict the average to two decimal points - so much of confidence every one - with just one possible right answer - whatever it might be.

Predicting an average with 2 decimal places is no less certain than predicting an average consisting of a whole number.

Predicting an average to two decimal places is less certain than predicting an average to no decimal places though.
