8.Cameron White
9. Stuart Clark

11. Danny Cullen

I'm guessing Watson will most likely be in there at 6

I'm guessing Lee will still be there, as will Ponting at least amongst the current top order.

Plus at least one player in each side no one beyond each country's uber-geeks has yet heard of.

2 Hussey M
3 Symonds
4 Hodge
5 Clarke

7 ?
8 White
9 Lee
10 Clark

I'd think, unless something drastic happens to Vaughan, we'd have the same top 5 as this ashes, with Anderson or Tremlett in for Cook. But apart from that, I think you're spot on.

I may have heard of them, but doesn't mean I'll know how good they'll be in 2009... who knew of Simon Jones and Kevin Pietersen in 2001?

Plenty of Glamorgan followers, I'd guess. Seeing as by the end of 2001, he'd played 26 FC games for them. :p

Really not making my points well tonight. No one had him down as the gamebreaker in the 2005 Ashes, did they?!

Hussey at two (he's not that much older than Jaques?), Ponting at three (he's only 34 come the next Ashes, would you believe it), Clarke and Watson somewhere in there, Ferguson's the only bloke talented enough to be in that batting line-up. Marcus North might be in with a shout, too. Klinger's an opener, from memory. Wickie...I'm guessing Haddin, unless Hartley keeps up things for Qld. I refuse to believe Gillespie's Test career is over, and I don't think the Aussies will take two spinners to England, so that's Cullen out. Allen Wise as seamer, maybe?

Surely higher, after that magnificent 12* in 231 minutes from 0 balls the other day? :p

He's better than Tait, anyway. At bowling right-arm outswingers......
