    Stats Guru Comparisons

I think Cricinfo's Stats Guru is a magnificent tool for comparing two players and their records.

    I'll start us off....
    Laxman vs. Vaughan

Similar number of matches. Similar averages. Vaughan has 400 more runs but the thing that seperates them is conversion rates. Both have good records against Australia, better than their career records and even better are their records against Australia. Surprisingly Laxman's record in Asia is worse that his overall career record whereas Vaughan seems to do better on pitches similar to those at home.

What does this prove? Not a lot...but I think it's interesting
    Stedders' Supported XI
Tamim Iqbal, JA Burns, UT Khawaja, CA Lynn, Shakib Al Hasan, SE Marsh, +AT Carey, AC Agar, PJ Cummins, Mustafizur Rahman, JP Behrendorff.

RIP Fardin. RIP Craigos. RIP Prince.

I think it shows that Laxman is more reliable around ther world and more likely to be there for his team when they really need him. They probably also suggest that Vaughan has more natural talent and if he gets in, the bowlers really have to earn his wicket.

Check out these amazing stats for Don Bradman in Test Matches that Australia won.

marc71178 - President and founding member of AAAS - we don't only appreciate when he does well, but also when he's not quite so good!

Anyone want to join the Society?

Beware the evils of Kit-Kats - they're immoral apparently.

No, more that when he was out for less than 5 he averaged a pathetic 1.16.
