Bradman just needed to score four runs in his last test innings to keep his final average in three digits but couldnt handle the pressure :sleep:

Jokes aside the amazing thing about that episode is that neither Bradman nor the public knew that he needed those four runs. Shows how different the game was back then compared to the statistics-obsessed present. Can you imagine the amount of hype there would be today if a player was close to such a unique landmark in his last test? And the letdown if he failed?

The reason why this was not publicised at the time is that no one could have known that it was going to be his last test innings.
