Lahore deserves a Test every series. It has the best ground, the biggest population other than Karachi, and perhaps the safest atmosphere for uneasy touring teams.a10khan said:

4 Day tests in Pakistan

I want to see games in Lahore, but other cities deserve a chance as well. There are populations outside of Karachi, Lahore and Pindi who also love their cricket and very safe as well. I say give the most imp games to the bigger venues but also give games to other not-so-prominent test centres. Shd be on a rotating basis just like everywhere else in the world.ClownSymonds said:

The biggest problem is accomodation. Sahiwal, Jhang, Gujarawala, Sialkot, Bahawalpur, Okara, Kasur, Sheikhupura, Sarghoda and Attock have big populations but all of these venue's lack an international standard hotel or even a similar standard ground. Can you picture a team like England, with its bevy of followers and flocks of journalists agreeing to spend 3 days in a 2/3 star hotel in, say, Sarghoda? Granted, Sheikhpura and Gujrawala are within a couple hours of drive from Lahore but the logistics of organising such trips, with the current focus on security, would be nightmarish.
The only venue's PCB can work with are Multan, Lahore, Fiasalabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi and Peshawar.
That being said, IMO, PCB oughta develop some more grounds, specially for ODI's. How about one in Murree, or up north in Abbotabad? Those places are riddled with top quality hotels and the pitch would likely make an interesting contrast with the rest of Pakistani tracks. The elevation might cause a problem though, but hasn't India got grounds at similar height in Hamachal Pardesh?
Queeta is a great venue as well, though It's proximity to Afghanistan makes it a no-go area for most visitors.

Perhaps someone could tell us how hot it gets during the peak daylight hours in Pakistan. Is it really too hot for visiting teams to cope with? It's completely absurd to have a close of play scheduled for over an hour after sunset. Or maybe if they doubled or trebled the floodlights they would be okay?

6 days test are the answer for cricket in Pakistan
Generally I find it hard to understand its "physically impossible" to play 5 day tests in Pakistan when the go at barely 13 overs an hour. Historicaly this is almost a halving of over rates with 22-24 once being the norm.
A 90-over day would once have lasted less than 4 hours.
But apart from over rates Pakistan should get a 6th day. It should be done just like when England and Australia agreed to play tests of the same length which I dont think happened until after the second world war.
They then agreed to 30 hour tests, with 5-day tests of 6 hours in England and 6-day tests of 5 hours in Australia.
The ICC should make that possible again either for everyone or for special cases.
